Used in the food and beverage and other industries for measuring % sucrose by weight, these plain form hydrometers are made from thick-walled tubing and annealed for maximum strength. The printed scales feature large numbers and clear lines. The Brix Scale used is based on the equation that 1° Brix equals 1% sucrose at a specified temperature (20°C)
